First things first! We arrived in Cebu just in time for lunch. From the Mactan airport, we took a multicab going out to Islands Hotel where Zubuchon is. Fare is P8 and travel time took about 10 minutes.
Cebu is popular with their own version of lechon (roasted suckling pig) and is said to be the best among them. One of the famous lechunan there is Zubuchon, which was made even more popular by Anthoy Bourdain saying that it was the “best pig ever”.
I have started to get a good impression of this city already. Servers are prompt and attentive and speaks good English. 🙂 So, we ordered half kilo of Lechon for the 2 of us, a bowl of lechon mami and a platter of rice (good for 3 persons)
The star of our lunch! Very tasty lechon! Saying that it is the best pig ever could just be the perfect description for this. It isn’t your regular lechon that you get from gatherings, this is something else! If it wasn’t too sinful, I could’ve eaten more haha skin is very crunchy while meat is tender and full of flavors! So goooood!
Can’t remember how much each order was, but total bill was just around P600. Not bad for a good, sinful lunch. haha
