The family headed to Batangas in time for lunch to visit a family friend yesterday. Since we are in the area, we segued to Sky Ranch to try the Sky Eye. We got there at around 4PM and parking is already full, but that is expected since their parking lot is relatively small so we had to park at Casino Filipino in front of Taal Vista Hotel.
There aren’t too many rides and attractions at Sky Ranch, compared to other themed parks. But they have, what they say, the tallest ferris wheel in the country at 207ft. Entrance is at 50% off, so we got in for P50, child below 3ft is free. That is to enter the park, you can buy tickets for each ride inside which ranges from P50 to P150.
Don’t be intimidated by the queue on each ride too. There may be a long line but phase is fast so you do not get to wait as long as you think. Downside though, that only means that rides only take 3-5 minutes. 😐
We only stayed there for about 2 hours and I only got to try the Sky Eye which is very anti-climactic hehe It is just pure height, nothing extreme. You’ll be just in it for the view.
For dinner, we headed to Leslie’s Restaurant just along the entrance of Sky Ranch. We’re a party of 6 adults and 1 child, got the group meal for 5 persons which appears to be just enough. The set consists of Pork Sinigang, Beef Karekare, Chicken BBQ, fruit platter, rice and iced tea.
Turon de Leslie. Only thing I enjoyed is this extra order of Turon as per mother’s request. Not too sweet and blends nicely with its sesame seed toppings. P199 for 3 big turons, good for 5 persons. Set meal is P1850, btw.
Sky Ranch : 3/5, child friendly. I just wish they would utilize a ride all you can price so people wouldn’t have to line up for each ticket.
Sky Eye : 3/5, good 5-minute experience.
Food: 2.5/5 just passing.
Location : 4/5 just outside Sky Ranch, perfect for hungry tourists
Service: 3/5 good service, but expected from their 10% service charge
Price : hmmm 3/5, I hope there is a discount or freebie for customer’s whose name is Leslie haha #namesake
